Our Texel herdbookfarm is settled in Wachtum, a small village in the North-East of Holland between the cities Emmen and Coevorden. We are known under herd-booknumber 00866 and UBN-number 1648241. For several years we are breeding Texel Herd-booksheeps, and the last 25 till 30 years we are actively busy with the breeding of Modern and Well Muscled Texel-Sheeps with an outstanding meat/bone proportion.
Breeding Goal
Our Breeding Goal is the breeding of well developed Texelaar Sheeps with an outstanding lenght and with a very well muscled body. Besides this qualities the sheep must command the typical Texel pedigree features. Very important are the vitality and the good maternal charecteristics. A ewe must not only be able to give good birth to two lambs, she must also be able to raise them well.
